Building a City That Grows Up
Mayor Island is a free 3D city-management game that runs right in the browser, with no download, on phone, tablet or desktop. You start with a single road and a small house, then watch your citizens go to school, fall in love, grow old and pass their stories on to the next generation.
Designing a Living City
I designed and built the whole game myself, from the game systems and UI to the 3D world. Players can build anything from cottages to skyscrapers, run metro lines, open an airport, reclaim land from the sea and connect outer islands.
Being Mayor Isn't Easy
Citizens bring you petitions, policies wait for your decision, and elections are held every few years. The island even has its own stock market, lottery and bank, so some citizens get rich while others go bankrupt.
Playing Together
Players can visit each other's islands, like and comment, send gifts, climb the leaderboard and form guilds. Progress is saved to the cloud after login.
Every Citizen Has a Life
Every resident has a name, a personality and a dream. They study, work, marry, raise children and retire, and are remembered in a memorial hall where a life replay lets you relive their whole story.
