Crafting Digital Identity & Playful Innovation for EVA
EVA is an on-chain trading arena on Solana, built by the Sonic team at NextLabz for both human players and AI agents. Players can trade manually or deploy their own agent into live market rounds, and every round is ranked and settled on-chain. I worked on EVA's brand identity, product design and marketing visuals, shaping a design language that makes competitive trading feel expressive, approachable and fun.
Vision and Innovation
My vision for EVA was to transform the brand’s conceptual identity into an engaging digital presence that feels both playful and purposeful. I aimed to merge imaginative visual storytelling with intuitive UI patterns — using dynamic animations, modular components, and expressive motifs to bring EVA’s ecosystem to life and evoke emotional resonance with users.
Identifying Unique Challenges
At its core, EVA balances creativity with clarity. Early in the project, I focused on identifying perception barriers around abstract brand elements and translating them into tangible visual metaphors. By leveraging motion cues, expressive typography, and layered composition, I shaped visual hierarchies that help users quickly understand and connect with EVA’s personality without cognitive overload.
Resolving Complex Problems
Designing for EVA meant reconciling layers of narrative, interaction, and play into a seamless user experience. My process emphasized coherence across all touchpoints — UI, brand visuals, motion, and tone of voice. The goal was to make exploration feel delightful, meaningful, and reflective of EVA’s creative ethos.
User-Centric Design
Every interface element in EVA was crafted to anticipate user intent. Whether discovering features, interacting with expressive assets, or navigating immersive experiences, the user journey flows with clarity and delight. The result is a platform that feels accessible to newcomers yet rich with depth and personality for power users — achieving both simplicity and expressive engagement.
Meeting User Needs
From discovery to ongoing engagement, EVA’s experience was designed to educate, delight, and empower. By translating abstract creativity into emotional trust through design, I ensured users don’t just visit EVA — they identify with it.
Every design decision reflects my belief that digital identities should feel inviting, articulate, and meaningful — and EVA stands as a testament to thoughtful design that inspires playful connection.
